Utilizing the RED ONE with MX along with a 35mm Cooke iLens I was able to shoot and matchmove footage and then import it into Cinema 4d. In a few blog posts there will be some more renders, and beauty renders.

So these are rough comps of what the site will look like. The backplate is the master before color correction. This will be used as the matchmoving plate, that the hill scene and inside studios will be composited into. Right now the studio scene is not part of the hills due to render issues. Enjoy.
It’s been a couple of years since I used the wirecam. Ian Carleton and I created this contraption to avoid putting a dolly down in brush, and allowed us to get pretty much wherever we wanted for a dolly tracking shot.
I went out to Trinity Bellwood Park with tricking expert Jonny Caines, and was able to get some great motion shots, really capturing the full motion of tricking artists. Jonny was a true professional working with the speed of the wire cam and hitting his mark every time. Check out his demo reel
This was shot using the Canon 5dMKII, which makes shooting as a breeze as it’s super light in comparison to the HVX200 and EX1 which was on the rig before this shoot.
