Parkour in the Park – Wirecam Shot0
Posted In Cinematography, New Work, Technology, Tutorials / Resources
It’s been a couple of years since I used the wirecam. Ian Carleton and I created this contraption to avoid putting a dolly down in brush, and allowed us to get pretty much wherever we wanted for a dolly tracking shot.
I went out to Trinity Bellwood Park with tricking expert Jonny Caines, and was able to get some great motion shots, really capturing the full motion of tricking artists. Jonny was a true professional working with the speed of the wire cam and hitting his mark every time. Check out his demo reel
This was shot using the Canon 5dMKII, which makes shooting as a breeze as it’s super light in comparison to the HVX200 and EX1 which was on the rig before this shoot.
